Horseback Riding

Tour Description

Explore the beauty of Belize’s outdoors by horseback with superb riding in forest trails encompassing various ecosystems. Cayo Adventure Tours offers horseback riding in the sub-tropical broadleaf forest of the Eligio Panti National Park with naturalist guide Jose Tzul. The park covers over 30 square miles of rugged forest stretching from the boundary of the Mountain Pine Ridge Reserve over to the Macal River. As you ride along you will find the landscape breathtaking while your naturalist guide will highlight the varying plant species and wildlife native to the area.

Jose Tzul maintains a stable of well-groomed riding horses suitable for all levels of riding experience. He specializes in taking children and beginners who are often going out on their very first horseback ride. The trails are not hard to navigate and will lead you to a cave you can climb down into to see aged Mayan pottery and skeletal remains and a natural swimming pool where you can opt for a refreshing swim before returning back to the stables.

Tours range from half-day rides (approx. 3 ½ hours) to full-day rides (up to 7 hours) with the maximum of eight riders on a tour.

Cost: US$65.00 per person
