Enjoy the pristine waters of Belize’s jungle rivers by an inner tube with Cayo Adventure Tours! Inner tubes or inflatable kayaks work just as well on the Mopan River which has an abundance of light rapids and cascading waterfalls. You will see a variety of birds most likely including flycatchers, cormorants, ducks, parrots, and parquets, as well as lazy iguanas basking on the treetops and along the river’s edge. Between the rapids enjoy the quiet beauty of the river and the lush rainforest in this pristine habitat of vibrant flora and fauna making up our sensitive river eco-system. The only sounds in your ear will be coming from the river and the rainforest itself with the birds and insects along the way; and then as you’re passing by a brilliantly green group of trees you will very likely see an eruption of white birds flying out of the foliage as they further on down into the rainforest.
You will have the option of combining this tour with a visit to Xunantunich or Cahal Pech ruins, or after exploring Chechem Ha cave. Or you may prefer the option of doing it after a half day of mountain bike riding on rainforest trails in the area.
