Cayo Adventure Tours guarantees clean, comfortable and reliable tour vehicles on each and every tour. We have a fleet of fourteen tour vehicles which include luxury tour buses, tour vans, and SUV’s. The largest is a spacious 2005 Mercedes bus which seats 40 passengers very comfortably and has its own separate luggage compartment. We also have a really nice 2018 Mitsubishi Rosa bus that seats 33 passengers, and we have three 2016 Foton vans that comfortably seats up to14 passengers each. For off-road adventures we have a Foton Tunland, a Mitsubishi Montero, a Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, and three Land Rover Defenders.
All our vehicles are equipped with good tires and are suitable for both on road and off road in the challenging Belizean terrain. They are all subjected to a strict maintenance program provided by our own in-house mechanic; and are constantly being inspected, serviced and cleaned. All our vehicles carry full passenger liability insurance and meet the standards of the Belize Transport Authority and the Belize Tourism Board.
Cayo Adventure Tours also feature water transportation like canoes and inner tubes which we use for our river tours on the Macal and Mopan rivers, in the Barton Creek Water Cave, and for cave tubing at the Nohuch Che’en Caves Branch Reserve. In addition to those we have several excellent quality mountain bikes which we use for providing exciting jungle-bike rides.
The vehicles we use on our tours are our own and do not belong to a rental company. We make sure all seat belts are functional, tires in good condition, air-conditioners working properly, and all vehicles fitted with basic tools, a fire extinguisher and first aid kit.
