As Cayo Adventure Tour guides, it is their job to provide assistance, information, cultural, historical and contemporary heritage interpretation to visitors on organized tours at historical and archaeological sites, nature reserves and parks, museums and national monuments, on jungle hikes and river tours, and venues of other significant interests. Our tour guides are more than just guides in the traditional sense of the word; they are also trained tour managers. This means that they are there to supervise and manage the itinerary for our individual clients, or for clients on behalf of a travel agent or tour operator, ensuring that the program is carried out as described in the tour operator’s literature and sold to the local traveler.
We believe that the art of guiding is a rare skill; it is the skill of selecting information and varying it for different audiences and presenting it in a simple and precise way, that allows the visitor to see and understand; it is a skill which, if well performed, is priceless.
